Sure. At least you know what you're getting in advance.

Only you can decide whether that would be okay for you.
Personally, it sounds like a bad idea. If you are looking for a long term relationship you probably want someone who is stable and reliable and is able to function as a productive member of society. Prison is not the ideal place to find those types of people.
If you do decide to seek out a romantic interest in the penal system be extra cautious with your personal information, when meeting for the first time and making any financial commitments. While I'm sure there are many people in prison who would genuinely like a relationship, there are also plenty of people who would be happy to manipulate you and take advantage of you and then throw you away when they've used you up.

First of all what in the world are you thinking? Going to a prison to find a romantic interest. Look there is a reason why that person is in prison, and it is not because they got an outstanding citizens award. They are in prison for breaking the law. The best thing you can do is not to even go there, because you might get involved with someone who has some serious problems or even maybe serial. Move on with your life and do not even get yourself involved with drama that I know you will regret for the rest of your life.

The local prisons (like town or city jails) mostly just handle drunks, vagrants, and wife abusers. Now before you start getting all excited about those prospects....the county jail may be even better. Rapists, breaking and entering, burglars, etc.
State & Federal pens offer an even more select group that may interest you.
Frankly...I'd skip all that and just head to Washington D.C. where numerous republicans will soon be hitting the unemployment lines and/or criminal scene.

Why? Why would you want to go to PRISON to see some one that you want in your FUTURE. Prison and future should not be in the same sentence. Wait until this person gets out and see if they will get their life together for you, and keep PRISON out of your FUTURE.
The answer is NO.

It depends on the type of guy you find. Many people that go into prison aren't that bad, they just got booked for drink driving, or something petty like that. But be careful! There are murderers and rapists and what not. Best to get a back ground check on them. I don't whether you can or not, but definitely try.

The last place to find a date is in prison. Only the desperate should choose that path.

A lady from my town did just that. She started dating this ex-cop who had been convicted for MURDER. She used her political influence to get him a reduced sentenced and he was out of jail not so long after.
The result? He ended up murdering her in a jealous rage by taking her to an isolated spot and bashing her skull in. It was a beautiful funeral, but her life was cut short and her kids are motherless.
Don't do it!

NO! NO! NO! THAT JUST MAKE MY HEAD HURT THINKING ABOUT THAT. I WAS TALKING TO SOMEONE WHO WENT TO PRISON FOR A YEAR AND I STUCK WITH HIM AND I WAS 100% FAITHFUL TO HIM. BUT THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS IN THERE HE DIDN'T TRUST ME AND HE JUST DEMANDED TO MUCH OF MY TIME. BUT AS SOON AS HE GOT OUT HIS WHOLE ATTITUDE CHANGED AND I FOUND OUT HE WAS TALKING TO SOME OTHER B*TCH THE WHOLE TIME. SO NO THATS NOT A GOOD IDEA BECAUSE THEY CAN ALWAYS HAVE ANOTHER GIRLFRIEND OR BOYFRIEND AND YOU WILL NEVER GET TO KNOW HOW THAT PERSON REALLY ACT UNTIL THEY GET OUT AND DONT NEED ANYTHING FROM YOU.

Are you kidding ??? Men in prison are criminals. Rapists, child preditors, robbers, killers, drug dealers. Not a good Idea I would say. Your asking for a bad relationship from the start.

why not? they are already a felon -- so you at least know if he beats the crap out of you, abuses your children, or steals from you -- you had it coming. There shouldn't be any "surprises" if this type of man turns out to be less than stellar -- You can make smart decisions or you can make stupid ones in this life, the outcome/ consequences will follow either way. good day.
