I hated to see Bourn go; I like Lidges talent, but I'm not sold on his make up. He hasnt been the same since the Pujols HR.

I think Bourn can be a player, I was dissapointed he was involved in the trade. Otherwise giving up Geary and Costanzo isn't a big deal. We'll see what happens regarding Lidge's confidence with a new team.

With the Phillies luck, they will trade Bourn and opening day Pat Burrel will get hurt. Lidges needs to stay. If Lidges goes the Phillies will only have Jamie Moyer and Cole Hammels. If they make this trade it will probrally ruin the team for a few years. They would be insane to make such a trade.

If Lidge can live up to his All-Star years then it is a good trade........i agree, i don't like seeing bourn go but he is recovering from an injury that might slow down him a bit and our outfield is pretty set even if Rowand gets traded (lets hope not), I'm bummed that Geory was traded along with bourn b/c he was good but not good enough to be the solid closer we need

It would only be a bad trade if Lidge doesn't return to where he once was. The Phillies are taking somewhat of a chance but if it pays off the team and their fans will be the benefactors.

i agree lidge has to stay healthy and live to his potential of 42 saves in 2005. but we have to wait and see.

Well hopefully they will resign Rowand.I doubt it.I guess if not move Victorino to center or have some guts and get Torri Hunter.

A change of scenery can do wonders for players and coaches.Just look how many people left the Phils and have had great success.....Schilling,Polanco,Byrd(Paul not Marlon),Michaels,and dont forget the biggest one of all...Terry Francona!
