hey, there have been a lot of things happening this year and now im in this huge thing that i cant see a way out.. my best friend is in love with my best guy friend but neither of them can go out till 16 so now they are best buds... i am the third wheel except for this other girl that has just made matters worse... we formed sort of a clique.. and im trying to break out of it but the only way to do so... is to stop hanging out with my friend... because she JUST hangs out with them and if i want to hang out with her i have to hang out with them too and there is also a bunch of complicated things involved... urg. so anyway, my question is actually, do you think my parents (especially my mother who expects me to tell everything to her and go to her if i have a problem at school [btw i already told her about it but she says wait it out]) do you think she would get mad if i consulted a teacher who apparently gives great advice? would she mind? and would the teacher be annoyed if i ask?

You have to decide which is more important to you... your friend or getting out.

Your mother won't mind if you consult a responsible adult...

I don't know why your mom would be mad if you asked a teacher. But- these girls don't sound like they are true friends. Try to meet other people and get some new friends. When your other friend gets tired of the drama in that group- she will come back to you.

It's always good to get more than one person's advice on a situation. Even if it means not taking your mom's advice. Besides, teachers are meant to be mentors whether it is class related or personal relationship matters. Good luck.
