My husband and my anniversary is coming up on the 15th. We have a son who is three years old. We don't have family or anyone else to watch our son, so it will have to be a family celabration. What is a good gift for my husband and what are some suggestions on what we can do that can involve my son? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

They say a child should never be involved in matter between the parents but perhaps this is when he should. You and your son get involved in a buying spree for our husband and get him something special and by dropping hints your husband may get the idea and he and his son can do the same for you, to start with. Then perhaps pamper yourselves with a meal at a restaurant you would not normally go to or a meal that you might not normally try - for example, a restaurant serving Kobe Beef, something like $100 a pound.
Where you spend the rest of the evening then can depend upon where you are and what is available. In New York, take your son to the top of the Empire State building or in California, to Knott's Berry Farm. In other areas, if you have never bowled or even done it much lately I am sure your 3 year old may enjoy watching that and may even be able to help throw a ball or twoand some places have arcades for younger children to enjoy. After you have done enough ot this, your 3 year old will be tired enough to fall asleep when you get home and you and your husband can open a bottle of champagne to continue the celebration at home after that.
Congratulations on the 4 years and may you have many more to come!!

I would let your 3 year old help you make a cake and decorate it-You could put a 4 candle on top and let him write with icing and decorate with sprinkles (bonus is he gets to see that a marriage anniversary should be celebrated). You order in for dinner so you don't have to cook and after dinner you can have cake and you could also get some plastic wine glasses and toast to another year(use white grape juice-your son will love it). After dinner you could all take a bubble bath and when your son is in bed, then you and your man can get romantic. Congrats! -Happily married x 9 years!

Congratulations, lady_bella, to you and your husband. I'm certainly no expert when it comes to marriage, but I know a thing or two about hosting events and celebrations. Why don't you, your husband, and your son sit down together and plan the anniversary celebration? You could all pool your ideas together and come up with a celebration that makes each one of you feel happy and honored. Enjoy.

You can maybe go out for dinner, go to the movies, and put the baby to sleep and have some fun with your husband!
