You have to wash your brush at least once a week! It's pretty easy, put some mild detergent on it and clean it gently with your fingers. Set it bristles down to dry to avoid ruining the metal part of the brush. It's so important to clean your brushes because there is a lot of dirt and bacteria that gathers on it when you haven't cleaned it in awhile. This causes those unwanted acne and blackheads. Besides, it's just gross knowing the foundation caked on it is from 2 weeks ago. Good luck ;)

I clean my foundation brush with water after each use and then use a mild cleanser to give it a good rinse once a week. The face is an important area. You don't want to let you brush get clogged up with oils and bacteria that will make your face irritated and likely to break out. I recommend using a gentile shampoo for natural hair brushes and a mild dish soap or brush cleaner for synthetic hair (a foundation brush should be artificial hair so it doesn't soak up any product).

Be sure to lay your brushes flat to dry!

Cleaning your brushes shouldn't ruin them if you do it properly. If you ever find that your brushes are looking a bit frizzy then you can go to the craft store and get brush fix. It is a starch based product safe to use on the face and it will help to reset your brush heads.

Just rinse it w/ warm water after each use, then once a week clean it w/ eye make-up remover. If its a good brush, the bristles shouldn't fall out or get ruined.

I wash mine as soon as I'm finished using it. So, everyday. Otherwise the foundation hardens and that will ruin the brush. Besides, it doesn't really work that well if the bristles are hard and scratching your face.

I wash mine with my facial cleanser after each use. I just like using a clean brush all the time. Simple.

I wash my brushes with baby shampoo by gently swirling the brushes in the sink. Then pat them dry and place them on a washcloth overnight to dry completely.

I've always heard every 30 days. Wash it by squeezing a mild cleanser through it, rinse well, and lay flat to dry.

I wash mine right after I use it each day. Keeps it from getting bacteria.

I use cosmetic sponges and they work great and require a lot less work. You can get a whole bag for cheap and all you have to do is get it wet before you use it, ring it out really well and then use it to put your foundation on. I wouldn't recommend using a single sponge more than twice before throwing away.
