As the other guy said, the Ssang-yong Rodius is a total carbuncle of a car, but it IS cheap-ish, and carries an awful lot of stuff. These people movers are rarely things of beauty, as the old Fiat Multipla proves, but again, it did a job.
For me the most UNFORGIVABLY ugly car is the current 7-series BMW, I'm no fan of any modern Beemer, but the 7-series is quite the most hideous car I've ever seen. When a person buys an expensive luxury car, surely they hope that others will admire it, even be slightly jealous. Instead whenever I see someone in a 7, I think 'you poor stupid man, you could have bought a Maserati Quattroporte or a Jaguar for similar money'. Having said all that, you don't see too many, wonder why?

The multipla is not designed to be pretty, it is form following function. It is tall to allow all six passengers plenty of head and legroom. So in it's case at least the design has a purpose.

My bugbear is design for designs sake.

Have a look at http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/Review.aspx?model=1400
This is the Ssangyong Rodius, a horrid bulbous wart of a vehicle.

Then take into account the 2005 "facelift" of the SAAB 9-5. http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/Review.aspx?model=1428
Which committee came to the conclusion that sticking a chrome effect Zorro mask on the front headlights would freshen a seven year old car right up?

Notable mentions go to the Renault Avantime, Citroen Berlingo and the Proton Savvy.

Without a doubt, the '98-'03 Fiat Multipla. Whoever designed that deserves to be shot.

The Range Rover. Especially the ones with the big chrome wheels. I equally despise the Chryslers and Rolls Royces that have the same revolting wheels. They look like they were designed by a thirteen year old who has just discovered masturbation, but doesn't know where to stop!

Excuse my rant but, there is nothing so pointlessly macho as a car and these so called cars are the worst examples of it.

Pontiac Aztec, without question.
It looks like an unfinished Transformer.
Thank goodness not many were sold, and even fewer are on the road. They should all be melted down and made into rebar or sheet metal for appliances.

Ok...I know this may not be what you were talking about, but someone around where I live has a Pepto-Bismol pink pinto. It looks like someone panted it by hand this color. It is "the" most hideous thing i have ever seen. On the other hand no one would ever hit b/c you definitely see it coming. (LOL)
