First answer is a little bit of both. Parcells brought the Cowboys back from last in the division to a playoff contender. However, his style never let the players excel at what they are good at. Phillips does.
No, the league isn't getting more watered down. It's more competitive. No salary cap is one of the reasons I don't get excited about baseball season. Before the season even starts, you already know who the division leaders are because they win it every year.

Wade Phillips is babysitting this team until Jerry gets his Off Coordinator puppet ready to take over. This is Parcells team, and Wade is letting them have their way. It will come back and bite him and Jerry.
The NFL is actually in superior shape since the salary cap other than the QB position. There only 9 decent QBs in the league now, that is with 32 teams. There are teams that have QB that may develop into decent QBs like D Anderson & J Cutler. The QB play in the NFL is not very good overall. On the other hand the QB play in college is pathetic. The only legitimate prospects I see coming out of college are Teebow and Ryan. There are others that will be drafted to hold a clipboard, ok they get paid.

I'd say it is a team effort to persuade Parcell to use Romo. that changed the whole atmosphere.
salary cap has nothing to do with talent. look at baseball, the yankees put so much money, the team still doesn't win another champion. if they don't inflat the players' salary, the talent is still the same.

i might carry on with the Cowboys floor mats...putting your ft on eagles mats may be like stepping in poo whenever you get on your automobile! Plus I dont think of i might desire to stand to look at their call or brand that often.
