Le Grand Chemin (The Grand Highway) I sometimes go to Blockbuster and pick ones that look interesting. I have seen 5-7 of them and can't remember the names, one about a couple who meet online and have an ongoing affair in a hotel, one about a young girl who plays piano competitively and is sabotaged by another contestant, (someone here may recognize the plot and know the names.) I think as a general rule, foreign films are so much better than most American movies I see. There is more of a plot and the acting seems so much more real and authentic, nothing seems forced. And the accents just lure me into the story that much more!

Well, everyone's got different tastes. What genre do you prefer? What decade? Is it for you or other people? How old are you/they?
Here are comedies that I personally love:
- L'Auberge Espagnole (2002) and its sequel Russian Dolls (2005)
- Tatie Danielle (1989 I think?)
But I could think of dozens and dozens of titles if I knew what you are looking for exactly. I also love some French movies that don't appeal to Americans, I have noticed, because of cultural differences in the humor and poor translation.
You should check the Netflix website and select French movies only and read the descriptions and reviews and see if they appeal to you.

Recently, I have loved "La vie en rose", Edith Piaf's story.
Really difficult to see that without crying.
