everyone's is vulnerable, thats how people take over your identity. they can put you in debt. i never use it over the computer and don't give it out to anyone but the bank, ex- applying for a loan.
most people will ask for your last 4 numbers when conferming information. memorize the number, never carry your card with you.

We live in a goldfish bowl. EVERYTHING about you is available if you know where to look and are willing to pay the search fees.
To protect yourself, check your credit report regularly, and jump right on anything that you don't recognize.
