I would discretely tell him and smile to myself after. We have all been in embarrassing situations before.

I would mention it to him as I crossed the street. He would
probably be embarrassed or we would break out laughing .
I had a situation one time where I came out of the bathroom at
a diner and there was toilet paper stuck to my shoe and was
unraveling on the floor . A friend that was with me saw it and
we broke the paper off and laughed and cracked up about it.
Good thing we were sober at the time and saw it.
