No. But, in Nevada, the use of a deadly weapon in commission of a crime doubles the sentence. It also requires the guilty party to serve a minimum of seventy percent of the sentence before the first parole hearing. And, as I recall, there were reports of firearms being carried into the crime scene.
The Clark County District Attorney also has the opportunity to add kidnapping charges against Mister Simpson. He can clearly be heard on the audiotape during his incursion into that hotel room as saying: "No one leaves here" or words to that effect. If he's charged and convicted of that in Nevada it's life without the possibility of parole.
This isn't the Peoples Republic of California. This is the old West!

I agree with Holly, how many times is that man going to get away with things. MONEY SHOULDN'T MAKE YOU ABOVE THE LAW!
