Ron Paul raised over 5 million in the third quarter with over 5 million in cash on hand in Q3. At that point his candidacy should have been recognized by mass media as "legit" but instead, many news sources have continued to rely on questionable polls to determine a candidate’s viability. Now he has doubled that, and is on his way to 12-$13,000,000 in Q4. Even I had doubts that he could raise that much.

This is the first election cycle I have felt that the so called "scientific" media polls have been shown to be, at best an obsolete and slow indicator, or worse, a malicious tool to manipulate groupthink. I once said, what will happen when Paul starts polling at 4-5% (which he has), or 10%, or even higher? what tactics will detractors use next?

Mass media is horrified with the possibility that they are losing control over guiding the election processes, and you can see they are even less relevant than before. The internet is mostly user driven, and as its role in politics grows, and new "internet savvy" generations become voters, there has to be a new way to gather public opinion. Telephone polls are so 20th century, but of course, online polls have a lot of maturing to do. These are exciting times indeed, and possibly our last chance at this fork in the road.

I am glad Ron Paul supporters have something to be ebulient about. But honestly, how many times and in how many ways does this question need to be asked? At this point, these are not honest questions; they are thinly clad political ads.

Why not ask something substantive about the nature of the debate, instead of crowing about something that is only newsworthy to a post-CNN generation?

Cheers.

I am there with you and I can't believe it barely made the lowest profile of news story's on the major networks websites. So ridiculous, that and if he doesn't get 5% of the polls done by phone he won't get to be in the big Iowa debate. They can't poll me because I don't have a land line. The only solace we can take is the globalist are obviously very threatend by him.

it really is humorous how illiberal you Liberals are of ANY information outlet reporting the different fringe of the tale, or memories your aspect doesn't conceal. it extremely is the authentic attractiveness of Fox information. they offer us the documents and perspectives your pals contained in the liberal media received't. And that basically frosts you, doesn't it? Welcome to our international buddy. We Conservatives were living with a liberally biased media for decades. you've purely were given to attend to the a million.
