It's a bigger problem that you can solve on your own. You should talk to a councellor or a doctor. They can help. Now, you really need to find someone who knows how to work with dancers, who undesrands that staying thin is important to them, who won't be dismissive about it and you can trust them.

You can try this: you know you need to eat, right? How about you make a deal with yourself. Think ahead what kind of food is likely to be offered to you during the day. Select in your mind what are you going to choose to eat, eat for real no barfing. Evaluate - is it enough or is it too little? Shake hands with yourslef on the deal. Follow through and don't feel guilty for eating what you allowed/promised yourself earlier. But if anyone offers you more stuff just say no thank you and don't feel bad for that. Do you think that'll work?

But do get help if you can't solve it by youyrself say. Evaluate yoursel honestly 30 days from now - are you free of this problem, or are back and forth with it? When you're starving yourself you're inflicting damage on your muscles and bones. Heart is a muscle too, remeber. If you damage them too much you won't be able to dance anymore.

How skinny you are isn't important to how good of a dancer you are. There are a number of girls in my ballet school who aren't skinny, but they're really good dancers. Keep that in mind. Like others have said, seek professional help if you really want to stop, you'll feel a lot better. Good luck dancing, and stay healthy! =)

You should seek treatment from a health care provider . They can help you find counseling for the issues that are behind the eating disorder you suffer from. You should do this as soon as possible for the sake of your lasting good health and well being Ask someone to go with you for support, don't try to go it alone.

get help and...please don't bash me for this...smoke marijuana. No really, do it. It'll increase your appetite a lot. It's used medically with chemo patients in CA. the chemo makes them not want to eat at all, so they're prescribed marijuana to help them eat. If you live in CA, or other states with medical marijuana laws, you can be LEGALLY prescribed marijuana.

but ABOVE ALL GET PROFESSIONAL PSYCHIATRIC HELP. Eating disorders are a product of a negative body image which is all in your head, don't be afraid of shrinks, they're really nice people who will help you. Also, I'd check out support sites for those who are or have battled eat disorders.
