I'm asain but sometimes people just ignore me (If i ask for help in finding a certain item) if I'm in a shop full of for example white people- I think its because I'm different

yes you are different because you are asain. Just like I am different for being white. I have had that same feeling in stores also. People of all colors are capable to judging others.

I hate to say this but in some situations it is because your not white but please do not think it is you . some people are and have always been ignorant. i am white and most of the time very ashamed of that because of the dumb asses out there so u just keep asking for help and if you have to demand the help in which u are asking for don't let anyone make you think you are less of a person then you are.

You mean Asian right? No you shouldn't be considered different. The sad thing is some people are prejudice.....Not only towards you but of all races and religions. Next time someone ignores you like that ask them if it is because you are Asian. You might get their attention that way atleast.
But please dont think everyone is like this. Because thats not true. What it boils down to is stupidity on their behalf.

It might not be becouse your ASIAN. Try dressing up. First empression is always the best empression. Also have more Confidence. Some people love to be around confident people. Besides I've been followed around in a store a couple of times simply becouse im black, so dont feel bad there is always someone getting treated worse than you.

At least they ignore you. Sometimes black people get followed around like a suspect in a shop.
It all depends on where you live. My ex husband is black and my 2 kids mixed. We've lived in 4 different states and it was different everywhere.

I think it is wrong when people are ignored because of their race. We are all just people and everyone is different! I hang out with a lot of asians all of which are GREAT people. They are very respectful and deserve the same respect everyone else gets. I'm sorry all white people do not feel the same way that I do!!!!!!!!!!!

We are all different. I'm a white male but people ignore me all the time.
Give the shop assistant a big smile when you ask for help. You will find this does wonders.

You should be considered different because there is only one you on the whole planet. Some people, white people included (I'm white) are either ignorant, rude, or just don't care.

im indian and it cant be any worse than being so coz in india racism against indians is MAXXXXXXXXX
they are crazy behind fair skin

u shud see sum of the adds
worse if theres a tourist her the people on the street ogle at u as if u r from another planet altogether and go out of their way to help the WHITE people.... worse we dont get the same hospitality or help from say police transport officials cabbies etc BEING citizens...
the best part is regional racism is amazing in india
people from south dont trust north indians or those from the west hate begalis and biharis n drive away migrants from UP etc cz they take aay the local share of jobs...
theres an advantage though
WE DONT GET SKIN CANCER OR SPOTS LIKE THE WHITE BUGGERS DO.....
i love my complexion and i dont need to turn red tanning my *** of to keep me from getting sun burnt
