I actually contacted a porn producer once at Forbidden Video and asked this exact question.
When he stopped laughing, he explained that the producer would basically come up with a scenario, the director would pick a location from the producer's list and request materials, and the story would be mostly improvised based on his scenario and the materials they have lying around.
As a result, many of their stories in their videos were 'written' around safe filming locations: closed below-ground offices; empty, unfurnished homes; a hotel room; a rental moving truck; their own product warehouse; etc.
Incidentally, there's no reason you can't write porn films and sell them, if you want to. (In particular, soft core porn requires scripts.) And just because hardcore films don't typically begin with them doesn't mean that a well-written one wouldn't peak their interest.
I would recommend using simple locations and plots, and keep dialogue sensible and short, or use narrative voiceover.

Do you mean an adult who writes films, or someone who writes ADULT films?
If it's the first, start writing BEFORE you're an adult. and Read read read everything you can get your hands on. Then write about something you feel absolutely no passion about. Studios will not make movies because you have a burning need to get your politics on the world stage. Make it fun, make it entertaining and make it as unlike anything else as you can.
If it's the second, set the bar a little higher than that. The "writer" is usually a bunch of horny old guys who are looking to make a quick buck. And today, the best selling stuff doesn't HAVE a storyline, it's vignettes, or reality based, or virtual sex type videos. This way you don't even have to PAY a writer.
Aim higher.

They don't have writers. Here is what you do, get a wad of cash and a really good video recorder, go to Vegas, rent a room, call some hookers (bisexual) and pay them to be filmed. You can make a crap load of money. Just make sure they sign releases.
