I have the album from 1982 and I was just wondering if it was worth anything. "Thriller" is 25 years old now and it was the biggest selling album ever. It's still in its original cover. No child molestation, vitiligo, or surgery jokes please.

Hey I've got 3 copies myself...lol
Because, as you noted, this was one of the biggest selling albums ever, that means MOST people have it, therefore it's not worth but about $2.00 in U.S. money! LOL! And worth every penny! ;P Now considering you may have a 'first printing' which would be worth appx. $4.00. Only 'rare' vinyl has a greater value. 'Thriller' (which everyone SHOULD own) is not rare and thus not worth much. The best thing you could do is put the record on and play 'PYT' REAL LOUD!!!!! ;)

You've essentially answered your own question. Millions of copies are floating around. Since value is largely determined by scarcity, what does that tell you?
Virtually every thrift store has at least one copy sitting unsold. Value is nil.

Keep a hold of it, but as of right now, I saw one for sale in a record store for 3 dollars, I bought it to decorate with, so no, they're not very valuable right now, but I'm sure that it will be someday!
