Wow, do they really think there is a huge threat of a catastrophic asteroid impact? Man they are idiots. If it's gonna happen, NASA can't do much to stop it at all.

Stars do no longer fall from the sky: they're particularly far from the Earth and not prompted via its gravity. What we used to call "capturing stars" or "falling stars" are actually standard to be meteors: small debris from area which enter the Earth's environment and deplete. The Bible isn't a sturdy source of scientific counsel.

I have been hearing this for a long time. I think that if it does happen, we will not be able to avoid it. If it is really big, then the heat and other atmospheric things will probably kill all life on earth before it even hits. I'm not worried about it. Like I said, there's nothing we can do. Everything comes to an end.

My bird "Chicken Little" says: "It would be a shame for science if the observatory closes", but he's not worried about meteorites or any other unidentified falling objects (UFOs).
He's more worried about birds of his kind getting bought in pet stores and then kept in a garage or some other isolated area because they have a "BIG Noisy MOUTH" and need lots of tender loving care!

Sky falling from where to where? Stop this rumour. Even if it falls, it is not a problem of only one person. It will fall on every body. No one can stop it.Not even the greatest scientist on earth!

i believe we have applicable technology to deal with such dangers, but to employ the resources needed to prevent such a negligible (statistically, anyways) threat is not at the top of governments' agendas.
Apparently they're just saying " 'Apophis' on it!" (a very weak attempt at a pun)
