White walls is trimming the hair around your ears. A fade is a high taper that gradually fades to no hair at the nape of the neck.

"Whitewalls" would describe the USMC regulation haircut, otherwise known as the "High and tight". All the hair around the ears is trimed wide from the ear and short. A fade can be very similar.
