You could always let her know you'd like to talk -- tell her that while you appreciate her concern and respect her opinions, you will ask for advice when you need some.

that's the best thing i can think of

well first of all as well as being your mom that is her grand child is she nosy or concerned.
she probably loves you to no end be respectful and nice about it remember this is the same lady that had labor pains for you just as you did for your little daughter mom needs love and assurance to most of all make sure it is not because you are giving her reason to be so nosy as you say good luck and wish you well. to three generatioins of women.

It takes a village to raise a child and i think your mom is just part of your village, by all mean don't put her out, but rather consider her advice. She couldn't be that fare off, she raised you. Bottom line, decisions for your child are going to come threw you. Just thank mom for her advise and move on.

well put it to her like this... say mom when I was younger you had to also learn how to take care of me right well I'm doing the best I can and I think I'm doing ok for now but when I need some help i would like to know that you are there willing to give it but until I ask let me make the parenting decisions for my daughter

My mother was the same way - I just kept quiet and did what I wanted to do. My mother passed away suddenly 12 years ago - I am so glad I kept quiet!

My mom is the same, and if she's anything like my mom she is never wrong. But I just say "well that's your opinion" or "I prefer to do it this way". That's just mom's natures and it is so annoying. Just trust your gut
