Well, I would suggest Myspace...I know there is a big demographic of younger people but I now people who are in there 20s who would go to home parties. And Myspace is riddled with them. A lot of cities / towns have their own groups created on myspace where people of that city / town congregate to talk about stuff.

Posters on public bulletin boards around town as helpful as well as maybe an add in the local paper. And then you always have the fastest way of advertisment which is word of month.

Have a party, have your friends invite friends, give the party thrower discounts on products for different things. Give out little cheap (Yet nice) door prizes for games. Things like that. And if someone books a party during that party, then the party thrower gets a gift or a discount of some kind.

Just a few ideas. Hope they help! :o)

1. If franchise, check out their marketing programs
2. Check out library for books such as "Gorilla marketing" or
"6 Steps to Free Publicity" by Marci Yudkin.
3. Learn to describe your business in 25 words or less.
4. Create a graphic with the sentence above and repeated "tear off" contact info on regular or half-regular sheet of paper. Leave this on community bulletin board space (banks, groceries, libraries, etc) Offer "a free gift"
or discount or some other motivation for prospects to participate.
5. Apply to have this information advertised in community space of weekly or pick up newspapers and local TV and radio annoucenments.
6. Check out online possibilities: a web site and blog, etc.
Will these get you started?
Good luck!

Try setting up a website for the business. You could send some people that you know a postcard about the business, inviting them to it. Or you could put an ad in the newspaper.

advertise with fliers and ads in the newspaper and in the ad books that get sent to houses for a opening night party that includes many of the things you can do for a party so people can preview it.

At the party give out coupons for a discount.

Have you not talked with the person that recruited you? That person is going to make money from your sales, so s/he should take the time to train you properly. S/he should be more than willing to sit down and go over each of the marketing strategies step by step for your particular program. I wish you the best of luck.

Since it sounds like an "Adult Toy" sales business...advertise in the local adult video shops (offer the management a % of any sales referred to you from them), and put together a couple of grand to run ads in local magazines and/or papers.

If you have a local TV or radio station that would run your ad, that would be good. Perhaps an ad in the newspaper, fliers, word of mouth.

Word of Mouth, advertisements in newspapers, make a web site, put up flyers in your neighborhood, you tube. Who knows? After all that, you could possibly get on Oprah.
