I entered cheat 'motherlode' and a box comes up saying 'Sorry! No such cheat', I don't know why this is happening as all my friends have used this cheat and it has worked. I downloaded Sims 2 (the one I used the cheat on) off Limewire, could this have something to do with it?

kaching gets you 1,000 simoleans
Are you putting in the ' ' ? If you are, you shouldn't be.
Can you type in kaching without getting the error?
It may have something to do with the download from Limewire. Maybe it only works on the versions you actually purchase.

Most likely it is because your version of the game is illegal. Go purchase a legal copy of the game; you'll be supporting the creators and stopping an end to software piracy.
