give him a big bottle of crown royal and a bunch of homemade cookies and lock him in a room. He'll pass out from the sugar buzz and the alcohol and you can get all the time you need. He may wake up with wet pants, but hey, it's a small price to pay for one's personal space.

Give him simple errands to run around on. Make them the sort of thing that he has to go to the other part of the house to do. He'll think that he's being helpful, and you'll get some space.

Get one of those big bubble things that you can go inside of and roll around. That should get the message across (and you could have fun while doing it!)

Teach him to knit and prop him in the corner with a nice pot of tea...he'll be cozy and occupied.

occupy him with something else. play the circles song and tell him to dance in circles. then give him a cookie. elves like cookies :)
