I am wondering how common this is? And how would you know if you have them. Also do they affect getting pregnant. How soon can you get pregnant after a myomectomy. Has anyone had this surgery and can give me some infomation

A friend of mine had a myomectomy last year and she had a problem with adhesions afterward. Adhesions are pretty common after any kind of surgery, but especially after one where a full length incision (also called laparotomy) is made.

One way you can know if adhesions are there is if when you try to move you feel a sensation like someone is pulling something apart.
