1. Calcium Carbonate - limestone, chalk, marble (CaCO3) ; Calcium, carbon & oxygen
2. Water (H2O) ; hydrogen and oxygen.
3. Copper Sulphate (CuSO4) ; copper, sulphur, oxygen.
4. Sodium chloride - Salt (NaCl); sodium & chlorine
5. Silver bromide (AgBr) ; silver & bromine
6. Nitric Acid (HNO3) ; hydrogen, nitrogen & oxygen.
7. Potassium hydroxide (KOH); potassium, oxygen & hydrogen .
8. Iron(III) oxide - Iron ore(Fe2O3) ; iron & oxygen
9. Ethanoic Acid - Acetic Acid - Vinegar (CH3COOH) ; carbon, hydrogen & oxygen.
10.Ethanol - Ethyl Alcohol - the stuff that you drink (CH3CH2OH) ; carbon, hydrogen & oxygen.

NB Air is NOT a compound. It is a mixture of gases, mainly, nitrogen and oxygen and other trace amounts of gases.

The intention of teacher is to make appropriate search on compounds, chemical compounds, then look at the formulas to list out the elements.
10 compounds is a very general and simple search considering there are millions of compounds starting from 2 atoms to very complex compounds containing several elements. Choose appropriate to you situation in the class and then find out the formulas for each compounds and list out the elements from their symbols.

You are to use internet and not to cheat.
