Usually when this happens the 'spark' has gone from the relationship and he feels hes got to start earning more money to keep you in the way that you have become accustomed to living ( i.e. probably spending too much money going out to often, buying stuff you don't really need, things like that).
You both have to sit down and talk about the way you are heading. It sounds like you both love each other very much, but this happens to most couples after a year or so. To fix this from happening again you have to talk about how to combat this situation. To start ask him to work less, tell him you need heaps of loving, you both have a lot of give & take here so just be open and honest about how you feel towards each other. Remember the 3 'C's ; COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION!

Well, he's working... so you should be understanding on that part.
But, when he does have off, make things interesting. The two of you should go out and do fun things and spend alone time. Or, you can stay in the house and have a candle lit dinner with some romantic music, then dress in a sexy lingerie and tease him.
Make the most out of the time you two do get to spend together.

Good question; if you are not married and the milk is free why bother with being nice to the cow? Do you have common interests? Is he trainable? Is he a keeper?

Amp up the romance as per answerer 1.
Then just tell him what you "need."
Guaranteed to get his attention.
Also, get new outfits and do your hair differently, guys like variety and spice!

One things is that guys don't need to hear more yakking - they need action!

Darn it. not_again stole my answer! But yes, give him more reasons to want to be home with you. Sex is a great motivator. But besides that, you may want to schedule regular date nights or other together times.
