It's my alltime favorite book, yet I felt the movie let me down a little. Still a great film though, but I just felt it left a lot out. Anybody else agree?

NO it should NOT be remade.
For those wanting it MORE like the book, you need to buy 'The Outsiders: The Complete Novel (DVD)' which has a begining and ending just like the book as well as more in the middle. It really brings out Soda Pop's character more. It was released on dvd about 2 years ago and is a MUST for any fan of the book or the movie. ;)

yesss!!! they should remake it., they are remaking everything else, so might as well., i loved the book too!
i had a crush on ALL those guys, lol (Ralph macchio, tom cruise, patrick swayze.,Matt dillon, C.Thomas Howell, Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe) all those guys are HOT still to this DAY! if they do they better pick good replacements!!!

i actually liked the movie better than the book. but i do wish they could do a re-make and make it just a tiny bit better

No i don't think it should be remade. it was acted perfectly and had a great cast.
