i want to make flash games similar to addictinggames.com?

i want to make flash games similar to addictinggames.com i know its a process learning but gatta start somewhere. so how about what program do i need to do this? i've heard adobe flash but isn't that just a flash player? any info would be great

The nicest thing about flash is that it's an open standard and there are lots and lots and LOTS of IDEs for it. I use Studio MX myself but there are meny others. Many have free trial or student versions.

flash 8 isnt just a player. When you get the software, it can be used to do OOP and other things.
