Some people suggest that kobe bryant would go to the mavs in exchange for jason terry, josh howard, a first round pick, and two young pieces. Can he win on a mavericks team filled with stars such as stackhouse, nowitski, a decent point guard in devin harris, and dampier a consistent center?

I think they would win, but I can't see the Lakers wanting that for the best player in the NBA. Lakers would ask for Dirk and Terry. The only real place for Kobe outside of the Lakers is in Phoenix. Barbosa, Bell and Marion plus a draft pick for Kobe. That would make Kobe, Nash and Amare a dream team- sort of. No other team in the NBA would be that good, maybe San Antonio has what it takes now to beat that team, but in a year or two they wont stand a chance. And, that would help the Lakers be 4rd seed (3rd best in the West) and not 6th or 7th! The only thing is that the Lakers wont send Kobe to the West let alone their own Division.

Kobe did all he could yet basketball is a set game. The Mavs are the final occasion with great play by using the starters and the bench. The LAKERS could no longer beat them by way of fact... a million- No play from the PG place. It became for sure their susceptible spot as CP3 could interior the 1st around 2- Artest undesirable shot determination mixed with annoyed protection 3- Gasol a no prepare for each play off game this year 4- Odoms loss of offense and protection that won him the 6th guy of the year award 5- Bynum had no presence interior the paint on offense 6- Bench=Horible

Maybe, but Dallas has already expressed disinterest in any Kobe trade. The problem with a Kobe trade is that he won't go to any team without a superstar, and Jerry Buss won't trade him to any team for anything but a super star. Sure he can win, but he won't be going to the Mavs.
