Simply answering by age is difficult. In order to fully enjoy all the park has to offer a child needs to be able to walk great distance and they hate the stroller idea. Other than the kiddie rides in Fantasy Land of Magic Kingdom many rides require a child be 40 inches tall to ride. So that is something to consider. It is also difficult for a child to wait 45min to an hour for a 3 minute ride.
But, lets be honest, you are never too young or old for Disney.
Well that is not true, last year in November I was in a rest room and a young lady was changing the diaper of an infant that still had the umbilicus. Not that is too young.

You should wait until the child is either at least 7 years old or over 44 inches tall so they can enjoy all of the attractions. But if price is a concern, bring the child before they turn 3 years old and you won't have to buy a ticket for them and they can at least enjoy Fantasyland and the character greetings.

Our daughters first trip was at 5 years old and I think it was great- she was old enough to really appreciate it and young enough to embrace the fantasy and magic that Disney, specifically the Magic Kindgom is all about.

Any age would be fine. My 2 year old loves the place. Kids of any age can get on all the rides, except the ones with height requirements.

Bring them at 11 or twelve. This way they can remember it and they can ride most of the rides. You may also want to bring them a bit before that, maybe at six, that way they will have the best time in their lives!

4 to 6 years old. They are old enough to enjoy themselves but young enough to really experience the Disney magic without being to pessimistic. Good chance they will also remember the trip.

I would say not before 5. Due to the expense you really wan them to remember this. Also when they are too little they cant ride a lot of the rides and get tired very quickly.

We waited until my son was 10...too old. Don't get me wrong he stilled enjoyed himself but I think it would be better in the 6-9 range.
