take BART. Are you going to a Cal game? If yes, you can take the red line Daly City/Richmond train to the Downtown Berkeley station. Once streetside, there are free Bear Express Buses that take you up to the stadium. They run every 10min starting two hours before kick-off. There is also a similar shuttle from the Rockridge bart station.

If your going to a Cal game - you should take Bart. its easier than driving which can be a pain in the rear!

Do you mean a Niners game? While the game is going on? No problem. Afterwards, it can be quite slow.

Eastshore freeway is not the place to be ANYTIME!!!!
I-80 is a headache I would pick to sit on EVER!!!
