I have to agree with you, my home town is Hull and it really bore the brunt of the latest flooding. It effected many of my friends and family, I currently live in Doncaster, Bentley and Toll Bar was also flooded beyond belief and again effected many of my friends.
Of course all over the world many tradgies happen but I think it really sinks in when it's close to home and effects the people you care about.

Why is it that anytime any abnormal occurrence happens these days, people want to jump through their skins and talk about what a weird thing it is.
Floods happen. Tornados happen. Hurricanes happen. Fires happen. All that stuff has always happened and always will. It's nothing new, nothing untoward, nothing freakish, it just is the way it is. The only difference now is there are more people around to be affected by these occurrences, so the media acts like it's some horrible new thing.

Sky News are making it sound like we are going to be hit by a tsunami but i guarantee this epic flood will end up damaging a small Rabbit hole somewhere just North of Norwich and nothing else
