I don't think so. It is 2007, go for it.

I think that depends on your guy.
As you know, traditionally it is the man that proposes, so a gal proposing is a little unusual. However, if your man is not a "macho" guy and don't mind gal making the first move, I don't see the problem of you proposing. If you guy is a bit more traditional and think guys should always make the first move, then your desire to propose to him might not necessarily be the best idea.
I told my bf that I want to spend my life with him and be a good wife to him....but I also told him it was not a proposal, and that he should only propose when he is ready. I told him (and really meant it) No pressure..... But having told him that, he knows what my intention of our relationship is, and is totally putting him at ease about proposing....because he knows my answer will be yes! This led to more future / marriage talk....and as we all know, communication is good!

Not at all. It is 2007. Although, I would prefer my girlfriend didn't propose to me because it plays against the gender steroetype too much. Besides, usually the girl is ready but the guy is not (like me) so I'd rather dictate the pace of the relationship.

no its not wrong it just goes against tradition. and not to mention as a guy if a girl purposed to me i would be embarrassed! if it did happen i would just hope it was in private so no one could see. anyway it should be the man that proposes because its kind of one of those things that men hope to do on day just like women always hope to be proposed to. it would hurt our pride a little too.

I don't see it as wrong. I would just make sure he is the type of guy who can handle the girl doing the asking and that he is ready for that step.
Have you talked about marriage at all w/him? Do you both see your paths going that direction? If so, and you want to ask then go ahead.
Tradition is nice, but individuality is good too.

Not at all. Actually, it is normal for a girl to propose, but just not seen alot. Girls can do anything they want, if they can ask a boy out they can ask them to marry them too.

I wouldn't say it's wrong, but it's probably not the smartest thing to do. It's something a man should do because if a woman does it, a man can always claim that it wasn't what he truly wanted to do and he felt forced.

Oh God I hope not. If it is then I really messed up last week!! I didn't think in this day and age it would be taboo for a girl to ask. I did it. Why wait for them to ask, it's your life too.

Absolutely not. In fact sometimes it may be the ONLY way the couple is ever going to get married becasue the guy is just too...obtuse...to know they should.

Hell no, I did to my husband and we have been very happily married for 4 years now. He was thrown off when I asked him to marry me, sometimes we as women have to take control of our own future, ya know?? Besides you don't know until you ask, right. Good luck
