She is absolutely amazing! I was also crying during her performance! The majority of the audience; famous and not famous; said that it was the most amazing performance in CMA history, it was said to be he highlight of the night! It was absolutely incredible, she has to be so proud of herself, she had a hard life and look where she is! Her mother has no clue what she has missed out on, she seems like an amazing person, and she is definitely an amazing performer!

I didn't see the performance. But I've been trying to check out what she does. Yes, she has grown up! Good for her.She deserves the limelight after everything she went through as a kid. It's a shame she didn't get Idol. You could tell from the beginning there was something there.

Thanks for the link. I just watched the performance. WOW!

I think it was great. SHe was so overwhelmed to be there that she cried on stage during her performance. I love the song and I love how strong she has become even after life really handed her a bad deal. She mother left when she was 2 (hince the song she sang last night) and her father stayed in and out of prison her whole life. You have to be pround of her for never giving up on her dreams even when life wanted her too. I think she is an amazing artist and I will enjoy watching her grow in her music carer.

I cry everytime I see it. Some people think she wasn't being genuine but you can't fake that. Never mind the fact that she was performing in front of many of her OWN Idols and it had to be a very humbling/overwhelming experience. I never knew my father so the song hits home for me personally.

She was great---raw and emotional. I pray she finds a good man who won't break her heart.

She reminds me so much of a young Dolly Parton.

I thought it was amazing. I have watched her every since her first appearance on American Idol, and her story is truly moving. I think it really set in with her last night that she's "made it". She sure has come a long way.. and I seriously doubt she'll ever have to carhop at Sonic drive-in again. :]

Thanks for the Link!!! I had coworkers watch it, we were all in tears, me for the second time. I cried last night. you can tell all of her emotions came through. I think she was overwhelmed. Her mom leaves her, her dad's in jail and she is performing during the CMA's. How emotional.....
