I loooove Coldplay!
I'd say Soft Rock/Alternative, but they do appeal to a Pop audience also.

First off, it's better to say which category would you put their music, pop, rock or sth else in? Then, I think it's rock...

Generally, they're put in rock, but some people think they're pop. Usually when they're being introduced for a TV show or something they'll say "Coldplay the British rock band..." or whatever.

They are one of my favs I went to there live show here in NM a couple of years ago. They usually caterogize them in Pop Rock.
