When The Dixie Chicks had the courage to speak out against the war in 2003, all the country bullies threatened their lives and trashed their performances. Now that the country fans found out that the war is bogus, they didn't even apoligise.

I "trash" them or not based on their music. I really don't care one way or another what singers say about their politics..it's not gonna change my vote.

I liked them before the "statement", I still like them now.

The honest TRUTH is that people make a big deal out of that album because of "Not Ready to Make Nice" (admittedly a great song) but was it Grammy worthy? Not really...their older album FLY is a much better artistic effort.

This is a case where everyone can't be lumped into one category. Just because someone is country in and of itself doesn't make them phoney.

country artists are the most genuine people there are.
The Dixie Chicks are a bunch of obnoxious loud mouth too big for their britches B*tches!!
