What is up with this, why aren't you outraged. How can anyone justify this as the acts of a religous group?

Is it just me, or is this totally beyond belief?

ok, I stand corrected. $9 Billion is our nation's education budget, which Bush wants to cut also.

To the answerers who are so calloused as to deny children health care, I'll say this.

Just wait until your medical insurance is gone, will you then deny yourself gvt benefits on priciple? Somehow I don't see you as having that much integrity.

I agree with you, President Bush should not have vetoed this bill. Frankly, I hope to see a legislature vs executive deadlock for the next year over this issue and I hope the Democrats block the budget for the 2008 year until the President approves the bill or the new compromise bill of the legislature passes with a 2/3rd majority and overrules the President. It is not as if the Democrats did not want to negotiate on some of the clauses of the bill. It is the president who is adamant and not open or flexible enough for a compromise and he should be taught a lesson on this issue.

As with the other, it makes plenty of sense to me. Are you one of the one's that is NOT going to receive FREE heatlh care do to this? Is that why you are so outraged? And actually Bush said the program was to HELP people be able to afford health care not to put more people on. He believes everyone should be able to pay their own way UNLESS there is a medical reason stating otherwise, and I do agree with that. IF they are able to work they should NOT receive the first benefit. As a taxpayer I'm feed up with taking care of lazy people.

I'm not "outraged" because I feel that if the parents don't think enough of their children to keep them healthy, then they shouldn't be allowed to have any children and the ones they have now should be taken away from them and put into a loving family who will keep them healthy.

There never was a $9 billion kids' health plan.

Try again.

Oh, are you talking about th $60 billion bill covering "poor kids" who are 25 years old and whose parents make up to $65,000? ($84,000 in some parts)

Because adding 25 year olds to free medical coverage for children and funding the plan to cover people making as much as $65,000 per year does not make sense.

Supporting our troops does.

Yes, it is just you. I agree with the two previous posters and suggest that you do your research before having such a strong opinion on something.

That being said, have a great day!
