Hey. Who told your beloved Yankees to pay $18 million for 6 wins from Roger Clemens? Or Giambi? Or Damon? as long as the Yankees sign overpaid stars past their prime, they will have the biggest payroll and be the one and only Evil Empire

i've got suggested it earlier, a woman could be common supervisor of the yankees extra helpful than a guy. we are expert good purchase hunters, we get what we choose for much less fee. tell me, what's the area of having scouts or in step with probability a farm device if each and every of the yankees do is purchase the super names? it surely appeared like the Pirates have been the Yankees AAAA final year. i'm no longer writing off the yankees by way of fact of their obscene payroll, i'm writing them off by way of fact i think of they are puffed up, previous crap. my bs reason of why others write them off for the payroll is with the aid of the fact Yankees purchase extreme dollar gamers at or previous their best. get a number of your own homegrowns and notice how plenty extra friendly, strategical, and multi-dimensional the sport could be. addition: properly then upload on the undeniable fact which you won't be able to purchase chemistry and that's an important ingredient in any prepared activity - activities communities, companies, bands, and so on. yanks only purchase egos and that i'm specific we've all been in a topic the place there have been too many chefs interior the kitchen. it is going to be a shame for those youthful blossoming gamers to could rejoice with interior the autumn classic from their overpriced couches their inflated salaries bought them.

But they still didn't have the highest payroll of 2007...so who cares about that statistic? You are just a Boston hater...get over yourself...they were the best team this year and yes they spent a lot of money but they spent it wisely!

Why is that the measuring stick?

If you're going to try depicting them as the "Evil Empire," then why no mention of the Yankees and their far larger $189,635,045 payroll? What does it say about them that they failed despite that?

Last time I looked, it's easier to win in this sport by spending money. Given the revenues they've generated with their success, that $143m seems to be money well spent.

yet they still did not have the highest payroll... by a long shot.
Still shows that money does not buy championships... where are all the Yankees' WS titles the past seven years when they have led all payrolls by a wide margin?
not a red sox or yankees fan...
