do both. that way if one doesn't pan out you have the other to rely on.

Why can't you move to LA and enter the marketing world?
Take acting evening classes, and these will give you leads to where the auditions are taking place etc. and help you meet contacts.
That's assuming you've already had acting lessons of course, if you haven't then these will also help you to learn to act.
Some people get by on looks alone with no acting lessons at all, but I can only think of one or two and you have to be very very good looking to stand out in a crowd of beautiful people. Only you will know if that's something you can rely on.
Even then, hard work not just into lessons, but building contacts and attending auditions etc. too is the only way.
But let's face it, you can go into a career in marketing even if you fail at your attempt in acting, right, so why not at least try first?
The fact that you've had to come here and ask that question, however, does indicate you would need to push your motivation as well.

try to be an actress first, and then go to advertising/marketing world if you need to make ends meet.
you don't need a degree to be an actress just take some classes if you need.
But DEFINITELY move to L.A. or N.Y.
Vincent Gallo's advice to struggling actors/actresses.
"If you want to be an actor, move to a major city, either in L.A. or N.Y. and every day do as many things as you possibly can to reach that goal. But make sure that goal is set so high, that if you reach one-tenth of the goal, you've gone a long ways. Fantasize and believe that you could star in a 100 Oscar-winning movies, and just work for that every day. Let's face it, most people want to be actors because they want unconditional love and power and money and to be able to act out a character fantasy that involves themselves. So if one is truly honest about themselves in that way, then you're on the right path. If not, the process becomes convoluted. You have to go out grab it, and demand it. That's my advice. "

Do you have a degree? Have you studied acting?
Most actors actually have a bachelor's degree in something - often theater, but not necessarily. Those that don't usually have years of acting classes under their belt.
If you don't have a degree, I suggest that you actually consider applying to broad universities that offer a theater major, and study acting. If you want, feel free to have a second major, or a minor, in marketing or whatever. University training will not only make you a better actor, it will also allow you to network and make connections in the industry. You can also do SETCs or your area's equivalent summer stock auditions, and get professional acting credits on your resume. They'll usually also offer seminars on breaking into the business, finances for actors, and etc. And then, after you graduate, you can move to LA. Or, heck, go to university in California (or NY), and do auditions while you're at university.
Don't go to LA unprepared. Go there with a plan. It's a harsh life. Can gobble you up if you don't go in with solid skills and good prep.
