The Idea of the word Big Bang was coined by Fred Hoyle.
basically because he thought that the Theory of a premordial mass and singularity (based on General relativity)was not matching the Reality of Creation of the UNiverse.

The substance of the heavens as well as the substance of the Earth basically came from the Same Source.

We Understand the substance of the Earth ,as being atomic structures as outlined in the Periodic Table of Elements and their coumpounds.
As Far as the substance of the heavens is concerned , we undersdand it to be "Space". It was at one time pointed out by the Democretus in ancient Greece as an indivisible (by natural means)granular substance, which is Greek means Atom(something that cannot be cut).
Today the Word Atom refers to a Mass structure which is actually divisible or changeable. Its really a misnomer .

it seems that so called fourth dimension TIME came to existence only after the big bang.i don't know exactly what causes big bang but before it is going to happen we have to assume that it is a compacted huge source of matter which has occupied whatever space is called universe. And after the bang this space is expanding what we termed as expanding universe.Since only big bang caused things to accelerate in all directions it gives birth to fourth dimension TIME.Actually time is nothing but a unit to determine the occurrences of things.
[Its all i think so]
