Last night, for the first time in 7 months of me being with my boyfriend, he kissed me on the forehead.

Before you go out and start picking your trouseau, he may simply have beleived you were feeling down on yourself, and thought it was a cute way to cheer you up.
Maybe you did something nice to him, and he was in such a rush to thank you, your forehead was the only place he could reach. Maybe you "blew his mind" and the though of kissing a girl with a mouthful turns him way-off, so he kissed you on the forehead to avoid tasting his own recipe. Maybe the two of you were cuddling on the couch while watching TV and he felt like kissing you, and your forehead was the only convenient spot?

My much older, very old fashioned BF did the same to me when we had been dating a few months. It's a very intimate kiss, but shows that he respects you very much also.
