All the heroes haven't gone. We are fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Whatever you think of the justification for doing so, there are young men out there who could be killed or maimed. That is what the money is collected for, their families.
Go on a diet or borrow from a friend.

yes you would be out of order.how many times did those men and women that died in the trenches go hungry? a few hours wont kill you,or if you are so hard done by and starving then ask a mate to lend you a couple of quid.the war veterans get little enough of the monies collected without people like you dipping into it.

If those heros hadn't given there lives, you wouldn't have the freedom to ask this question. What about all the military servicemen of Britain being injured and killed around the world every day now, don't they count for anything? selfish is a word that springs to mind here. Oh it horrifys me that relatives of mine gave up therir lives and freedom for someone like you.

I believe you already know what most peoples answer will be to that kind of question, and especially at this time of remembrance for all the dead and wounded from two World Wars.
