Who decides which information is bad? Some old books, etc., are clearly wrong based on subsequent discoveries, but as long as we know that they are, then I don't see a need to destroy them - only to note that the information has been superceded. Its good to know that we didn't always get it right, and the old books are a part of our history. Besides, this seems to be happening all by itself anyway with the onset of the "age of information".

I think the cost of the project would significantly outweigh the benefits. Also a lot of the information is subjective; also informational value changes with time - information can become right, wrong, worthless, priceless at any time. Also a lot of information is not available to the general public.

Keeping in mind that "bad" or "uninteresting" are relative terms, yes incorrect information should be deleted from sources where yahoos post a bunch of B.S.
