Cancer research is not fascism. Forcing people to fund private companies which undermines their liberty is fascism. If you think this is not fascism then you have your own problems to deal with. We live in a democracy you Nazis!!!

What Lance Armstrong and Rick Perry did was fool a bunch of good hearted people with a noble cause into passing legislation creating and funding a private enterprise. That if you know your governments at all or have any sense to you, is FASCISM!.
Let those who want donate and those such as myself not. No matter if done under a vote forcing this is fascism. Please, Please, Please don't be ignorant about how a fascist state is established or what a fascist state is.

Tameishia, I am not worried about getting cancer. I remember a long time ago people just died of old age, such as the man who passed yesterday at 82 of lung cancer, seems normal to me. Plus we have a wonderful charitable organization, or we used to have one who did cancer research. Now we have a fascist government in Texas stealing my wages without my permission.

If that is the definition of fascism then sign me up, I must be a fascist.

You do know that congress does not actually go out and personally pave the roads, right? The pay (fund?) a private company to do so. It's even worse since the private paving companies are for profit corporations where cancer research foundations are nonprofit. The fascism of it all!

How is it fascism when Texans voted for this? You better hope you never get cancer or you'll be eating your words.
Edit: Children get cancer all the time.

There's nothing in your construct that I can agree with at all.

No, he's not.

[ADDED] OK, now I see your details, and it seems you've described something that is 180 degrees different from what you originally posted.

Now what I see is a corporatist scheme, and yeah, that would concern me - if your information is correct. I'd love to read about what you're talking about. Any news accounts you could link, please?
