260 h.p. / 330 lb. ft. torque, it's an iron head version of the LT1.

No Impala motors came with aluminum heads in 1996. The 96 Impala SS had a 350 ci. 260 hp. 330 foot lbs torque. The Impala LT1 motor is somewhat different than the Corvette aluminum head LT1. The Impala has 2 bolt mains while the Corvette has 4 bolt mains. The camshaft is also different, ground for more torque. The only other motor listed in 96 was the 4.3 liter 262 cubic inch V6 rated at 200 hp.
