Absolutely. No other team in the history of the NFL has paid a bigger fine for cheating. It was the single worst infraction in the history of Professional football. The patriots cannot bet trusted to play an honest game and therefore should not deserve credit for any success.

I was watching Mike and Mike on ESPN and Shula was on there. He said that it is not for him to decide if there should be an asterisk. He said that he thinks that the Patriots are a good team but their wins were tainted due to the spygate issue.

If they do go 16-0, and if there is going to be any argument about that first game that they cheated, then I say have them play the first game all over again, like it never happened. If they win, then they proved they can still beat them. If they lose, then they wouldn't be undefeated.
I am not a Pat's fan, and I hope they do lose one, but Don Shula was the coach of the Dolphins when they went undefeated, so of course he is going to scrutinize any team that is putting his record in jeopardy.

They were caught in the first quarter of the first game of the season. They never got to use the information that was videoed. They are probably the cleanest team in the NFL given the amount of scrutiny they are under. No, they should not have their accomplishments questioned this year.

No I do not. If he wanted to say that their previous seasons were tainted, I could understand that but not this season. Every year a team comes close to a perfect season, he opens his mouth and says something nasty. He just doesnt want any team to match his 72 Dolphins.

I agree with his comments. Come on Bonds is ACCUSED and never failed a test. Never proven to KNOWINGLY used anything. So considering Belicheck's past I think it deserves the same asterisk as Bonds.
