Rowan is a fairly unisex name, but I really like it. You could use Ronan, or Riordan, which are very similar to Rowan, but are more traditionally masculine names.
No matter what you go with, Rowan Paul, Ronan Paul, or Riordan Paul, they all sound really nice. They're traditional, but feel very modern and masculine.

Rowan is a boy and a girl name, but to me sounds more like a boy name. Most places it is a boys name but i have heard of one or two girls from Scotland with the name. But dont worry if you love the name then use it it doesnt sound feminen

I really think that Rowan was made for a boy than a girl. It has a very masculine quality. There is just a lot of people out there who like to use boys names as girls names. Brooke Shields did this twice. I don't know why women want to name their daughters with boys names but... to each her own.
I think that if you want to name your little boy Rowan... go right ahead. I think that Rowan Paul is a very cool name.

Rowan is a unisex name...but I have never heard it used as a boys name. Only as a girl's name because I think Rowan is a plant or flower.
I like Rowan Paul. It sounds nice. Good luck and congrats!

Technically, Rowan is truly unisex. As a masculine form, it is an Anglicization of the male Irish name Ruadhan. The feminine usage is separate, and generally given as a nature name, in reference to the tree.
If you love the sound of Rowan, but the unisex issue is a concern, the similar, but strictly masculine, Ronan -- rhymes with Rowan, the beginning is not said like Ronald's -- might appeal. ;)
I've included some background in the links below. Hope it helps!

I think Rowan as more of a boys name but know some mom's who called their daughters Rowan. There are so many names out there now that can be used for both boys and girls (my son has a girl in his class called Hayden!)
But I know what you mean, you don't want your son coming home one day from school crying cuz he has a girls name. I'm pregnant and thinking if the baby's a girl I may call her Payten - which is also a boy/girl name.
Anyway, best of luck on what you decide!

I think it sounds like a boy name. I have never heard of a girl having a name like Rowan. I think it is a very masculine name and sounds great for a boy.

Rowan is a unisex name. I have a daughter named Rowan Sage, so obviously I prefer it as a girl name. Rowan Paul sounds nice though.

I love the name Rowan. It's a very strong name, from the tree supposed enchantments to keep evil spirits away. I definitely see Rowan as a boy's name, and it's great with Paul.
