I really want to be a zookeeper. I wish I could volunteer at a zoo but you either have to be older or sign up for summer camp, and I am not going to sign up. Is there any way to get the experience of what a zookeeper does?
PS. Do you know of any good zookeeeper websites?

Check with your local zoo.

Depending on the facility some still do allow student shadowing, though many have changed policy due to safety reasons. Most zoos also offer volunteers during the busy season along with seasonal staff. You might not be old enough for a seasonal keeper position, but working there in another job will give you the chance to learn the different workings of the zoo along with a chance to talk to keepers.

If you want to see some requirements and duties try checking out aza.org. They always have job postings for zoos. Also look at aazk.org which is just for keepers.

Other questions, ask.

Well actually you can volunteer in some zoos if you are 14 or older. I want to be a zookeeper too, but I'm not quite sure yet.

Here is a pretty good website that might help

you want some experience as a zookeeper? look for "help wanted" sign at the pet store. i spent 4 years working at zoo, and 2 years at the pet store. difference? you lose money if animal dies on your watch when you work at pet shop. :)
