If so, then you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself.
For ruining the United States of America. That's why.
For brainwashing the Christain Right. For money hawking
checks from Big Cooperations. For playing the war card,
on innocent victims and lives, for the sake of personal gain.
(OIL). For encouraging racial discord, taking finances
from public services, for making the rich even richer.
And the list goes on and on. Now if you are a Republican,
that stands for something good, and can show me what it is
about Conservatism that is so nice. I will give you the
best answer, not once but twice. Stay tuned. Best
answer wins. Are you a Republican ?

Yes, I am a Democrat. And when
Hillary Clinton wins, you will all be
put to shame. Just like her husband
did back in the 20th century. She will
change this country for the better.

Does that make you a Democrat then? Typical for you to list all of our problems. Will you fix them? No.

I am not a republican, although I vote republican most of the time.
I notice a lot of rage in your statement. This sounds more like a rant than a question. You seem to have included all the typical generic talking points that I have been accustom to hearing. La de da, ho hum.
OK lets see what the democratic laundry list is here.
Brainwashing Christian Right - These people were nuts to begin with. Republicans had nothing to do with making them what they are.
Money Hawking - Since before recorded history greed has been a fundamental human trait. It knows no boundary, be it country, race, or congressional aisle. No party is immune to it, no party is more inclined to it than another.
War - People often confuse what feels good for what is right. It is a sad truth that there will always people in this world that only speak one language. Language of power, oppression, hate, force. For these people there is no reasoning ,no debate no diplomacy. They have openly called for our extermination. This is not a war card played for personal gain. This is a struggle for self preservation. To do nothing would be detrimental to the survival of the free world. Weakness will never prevail.
Rich Getting Richer - I fail to see an issue here. Why do people dislike the rich . They have done nothing wrong. In fact, have they not done it right. The vast majority of wealthy people in this country have done so on their own accord. They have differentiated themselves in their various marketplaces. They have persevered through hard work and fiscal discipline. Why should they be penalized?
It is simple fact, from now until the end of time, there will be rich and there will be poor. When you marginalize the rich with policy, you take away the incentives for innovation, growth and improvement. How unproductively drab is that?
Social Services - Abraham Lincoln once said that the role of government is to provide for the people what they are unable to provide for themselves. He was a conservative. Services like police, fire & rescue, military, FDA, and hard infrastructure, are THE public services. Everything else can be manifested from the free market foundation this country was forged upon. Markets adjust to meet the demands of the people without interference from the government. Markets supply choices to the consumer. Where there are choices there is competition. Where there is competition there is higher quality and less cost. Basic economics 101.
What about conservatism is nice? - Nice?? I keep hearing this word "nice". This is the most unremarkable remedial word I have ever heard. What does nice have to do with anything?!? What is this, candy land?? This is a point of confusion for liberals. They have an uncanny ability to not be able to differentiate between what is nice and what is right. What feels good is not synonymous with what is right. Life is hard work. It is often times disagreeable with difficult choices that might not be easy. It is about doing what is right.
If nice is the equivalent of your magnetic north, I would seriously think about purchasing a grown up compass.
Parting words – This country was based upon freedom. Freedom to make your way, to pursue happiness, to not have to worry about the hindrances of government interference. The democrats seem to be on the side of turning this country into a socialist republic. Take the power out of the peoples hands because the government knows how to run peoples lives and manage their assets better than they do. I am totally against this. So, for as frustrated as I am with the republicans right now, I still believe they have the best interests of freedom in mind.
Definition of Socialism – From each according to their ability, to each according to their need.
Definition of Communism – From each according to their ability, to each according to their need.
How many Americans died fighting communism?

Why did you post this question in the Politics section, and "Are you a Democrat?" in the Elections section? Just curious.

I am a CONSERVATIVE...which means I vote for the candidate who best represents those ideals of limited government whether that man or woman has a D, R or something else behind their name.
This time out I'm backing Ron Paul because I don't necessarily believe we need to be in Iraq anymore, because I want to eliminate the Federal Reserve and get our money on a SOLID backing again, because I want to see illegal immigation stopped, and because I believe that tons of social programs and "corporate welfare" are both things the Federal government doesn't really need to be involved in.
I'm not rich but I don't care that rich people have more money than me so long as government allows me to keep more of the money I make by not taxing me heavily (roughly 35-40% of my income is too much...period.) I would rather that barriers be removed so that I can make it on my own merits than be in a financial situation that encourages reliance on Government handouts.
And I think you meant "corporations" not "cooperations".

...for a few minutes, then I read a hysterical, ignorant rant from a republican, and a I feel better about being a libertarian. At least our hysterical rants tend to be a bit better-informed.

Ah, I love to see that famous lefty "tolerance" in action.
I'm a conservative because I've seen the left in action and it ain't pretty. Try living in the largest state in the union, with natural resources beyond your wildest dreams, only have more than 99% of your land off-limits to development. As if that's not bad enough, we then have to fight lefties tooth-and-nail to utilize the resources we CAN get to. Then, to add insult to injury, we have to listen to the same idiots who force us to be a welfare state whine about the fact we're a welfare state.
But as for trying to present you a really sound argument, why bother? Your hatred seems pretty important to you. Enjoy it.

Yep. I've seen them both in action. The democrats want to give away everything to buy votes from the people that are receiving the benefits. I switched to the Republican party, after I got tired of the democrats tax and spend policies.
Luckily, this is still America and you can have your opinion and I can have mine.
We are still the best country around.
God bless America.
