Start taking classes. It's great for you because you will learn a lot not only from your teacher, but also from watching your classmates work.

Take classes. Any kind that interest you. Certain technique classes, like Meisner or you could take improv classes, acting on film. You will get a sense of where you are as an actor in class with others.

Acting classes are a must! Go to a teacher who uses the Stanislavsky method (that's what I prefer because it teaces you how to be "real" not fake or forced like most actors are) and keep your gead out of the clouds. My acting teacher always told me that there are always 100 "nos" before your first "yes", so be patient!

Good luck :)
