It would indeed be lighter with the feathers, but to effectively lose those extra pounds I limit myself to licking the feathers after I soak them in lemon juice.

Don't do it. There aren't ever enough feathers to go around, and it causes arguments. Last year, for example.... I ended up having to give my feathers to Uncle Guido..... (leaving me with the lousy drumstick !) He's such a baby when he doesn't get his way. Y'know?

If you must do that, use Pantene Extra Body and Feather shampoo, followed by Mane and Tail Conditioner.
Repeat.
